Our Products Thrive in Tough Applications
Shiva Enterprises is an industry leader in the development of proprietary elastomeric compounds and rubber-to-metal bonding techniques. We offer a variety of products including O-rings, backup rings, custom molded seals, rubber-to-metal bonded parts, and machined metal parts.
O-RINGS
Shiva Enterprises is your convenient source for quality O-rings. We make most of the standard sizes, scores of special sizes, and O-ring kits. We also manufacture standard and custom metric sizes. Shiva Enterprises offers O-rings that meet many industrial and aerospace specifications. Shiva Enterprises has one of the largest O-ring manufacturing facilities in India and can manufacture over 2 million O-rings per shift.
X-RINGS
- Twice the Sealing Surface — Multi-lobed design provides more sealing surfaces than O-Rings.
- Prolonged Seal Life – With multiple seal points, less squeeze is required to provide an effective seal.
- Less friction and wear will increase seal life and lower maintenance costs.
Prevents Spiral Failure – "X" profile creates a stable seal that is more resistant to rolling in the groove than an O-Ring when used in a dynamic application. Reduced Leakage – Parting lines of X-Ring seals are located in the valley between the lobes away from the critical sealing surface. Better Lubricant Retention – Grooves on the inside and outside diameter of these rings retain lubricant there by lowering friction and extending packing life. Less Force, Better Seal - Lower breakaway force and reduced operating pressures make them ideal in reciprocating applications. The Right Fit - X-Rings will fit in standard O-Ring grooves. Groove modifications may be necessary to achieve optimal performance in some applications.
Metal to rubber bonding
Rubber in its many forms has the ability to bond to metals of all kinds. In fact, bonded rubber is stronger than in its original state, which may be why manufacturers in many industries rely on rubber to metal bonding for their components. Rubber not only produces a very strong bond on metal, but it also can be used to combine several parts into a single assembly.
